Fearing both Fenrir's evil and strength, the Gods tried to bind the giant wolf with ropes and chains, but Fenrir broke them all with his terrible might. The God's then commissioned the Dwarves to forge Gleipnir, an impossibly strong binding made of six impossible things: the sound of a cat's footfall, the beard of a woman, the roots of a mountain, the sinews of a bear, the breath of a fish, and the spittle of a bird. Brave and noble Tyr offered Fenrir his right hand to earn the wolf's trust while he was bound by Gleipnir, knowing full well the wolf would devour his hand once the binding was complete. Gleipnir would hold Fenrir until Ragnarok, when the wolf would finally break free and swallow the sun!

❧ CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY ❧
As these are my own personal reproductions, every one of my art prints feature a Certificate of Authenticity or 'print plate' adhered to the back of the print with archival glue. These print plates are hand made themselves, hand stamped and embossed on an archival parchment tone paper. The slight variations and imperfections on each one creates an item that is truly unique and virtually impossible to counterfeit. The title, medium, and specified print number are hand written, and each print plate is signed and limited to a total of 25 prints per edition.
